Get together in March?

Ok, word around town says Ms. S has completed the book. It looks like Degolar is around chapter 64...Redbeard has already finished it once, and is on his second voyage...do you all want to plan a get together of shipmates? In mid-March prior to PLA?

I'm in. I definitely want to do some discussing and extra reading after. I'm in the high 70s on chapters now; just finished disc 12 of 20.

I've got about 100 pages left. I just finished the chapter about Ahab's Leg. Should be done by the end of the week/early next week.

A real-live meeting sounds good.

I think we should have this get together at Long John Silvers. And space our arrivals by 10-15 minutes. Each of us would come bursting into the restaurant, clad in our monkey-jacket and bellow to the order-taker: "Avast, I'll have the whale!"

Cool...when do you all want to meet? What does March 16 look like?

And I love LJS...and monkey-jackets...but does LJS have beer?

Seafood and beer . . . could be hard in KC. The only things I can think of are the fancy ones like Pierpont's and McCormick & Schmick's. There's a place in Olathe called Jumpin Catfish. Jazz Louisiana Grill has a good atmosphere and seafood, even if it isn't their "theme."

And March 16 is bad. 15 better, 17 good.

I can personally vouch for Pierponts being the most delicious seafood I've ever had in the midwest. But they are pricey. And fancy. And pricey. Good selection of scotch, though.

I work til 9 on the 16th. 17th is St. Patricks Day, so drinkerys will be full.

I posted as Kelly by accident. She didn't sign out. :|
